Now, the country's government has processed their submissions, and the situation has started to receive a lot more attention. First off, I do not believe the real-time web is only about new content that's published quickly, in response to real-world developments. I believe the real-time web is more appropriately defined as web-accessible material that people are interested in, right now. In this sense, the real-time web is really more about the "attention frontier" of people on the web, rather than a technical timing property of the underlying material itself. Google's experiments with integrating more of its search adverting experience within Google Maps continued March 22 with the revelation that the company is now serving up prices for some hotel listings. When the small portion of users for whom this feature is currently available search for hotels on Google Maps, they'll be able to enter the dates they plan to stay and see current prices for some hotel listings.

In case you were wondering, Twitter is not killing blogging. No matter how many times this is said, there is still this notion out there that blogs aren't needed when you can simply express what you're feeling to the audience who is interested through Twitter (or Facebook or other social networks). The fact of the matter is, yes - you can do this with Twitter or Facebook, but blogs exist just the same, and the blogs and social networks frequently complement one another.

Digg has launched some new Digg Buttons and a widget generator for publishers, which the company refers to as updated tools to improve speed, usability and flexibility of integrations for publishers. A representative for Digg tells WebProNews the updated tools are "one of the many steps we're taking in advance of the official release of the new version of Digg to make the user experience more inviting and the publisher experience more customized and measurable.
