Google tweeted Feb. 24 that public status updates posted to Facebook Pages are now part of Google's real-time search results. Facebook Pages are basically advertising tools for organizations, businesses, celebrities, and bands to blast out info and updates information to fans. The Pages are bonafide, meaning users don't have to spend time worrying whether or not the content is being falsely produced by some publicity or money-seeking opportunist.

I'm learning to belly dance. Okay, that's totally overstating it. I'm wiggling to music in what is labeled a belly dancing class. I've found that I enjoy the constant movement, manipulating my limbs and taking any excuse I can to be silly. But more fun than the belly dancing is the instructor. She loves this stuff. Her eyes light up when she enters the room, her voice changes pitch, and she hops around throwing out euphemisms that make even the bravest people blush.

Newspaper websites are the most valued sites for people seeking credible and trustworthy local content, according to a new survey conducted by comScore for the Newspaper Association of America (NAA). More than half (57%) of the 3,050 respondents cited local newspaper websites as the top online source for local information. That percentage increases for upper income households (63%) and for the college educated (60%).

Google announced via Twitter , that public status updates from Facebook are now include in the search engine's real-time search feature. That means the largest social network in the world is getting play in Google's real-time search alongside Twitter, MySpace, and others. Apparently only updates from Facebook PAGES are indexed, and according to Danny Sullivan , that includes links, status updates, photos, videos shared by page owners (not comments made by the fans).
