Mashable's Pete Cashmore just published some suspected screenshots of Google Chrome OS , the operating system which Google is testing and planning to roll out on netbooks in 2010. Pete says that the screenshots come from an "unfamiliar source" but Mashable has shared them anyway to get feedback on the shots and hoping that Google will soon release some captures of its upcoming Chrome Operating System. This may seem like a no-brainer to some of you, but people do ask. If you are planning to include password-protected pages on your website, pages that users cannot access unless they are privileged and know the secret password, then you need not worry about the on site search engine optimization those pages. Pages that are password protected won't be crawled or indexed by the search engines because search robots can't fill out the password data to get in.

Varian, who has worked on the design of advertising auctions, econometrics, finance, corporate strategy and public policy at Google since 2002, says that scale, or the amount of data for search and search advertising at a certain point ceases to matter. Instead, the search algorithms are Google's special sauce.

Free website templates are a little bit controversial. A lot of people like them. Some designers will tell you that you're better off with a premium template designed just for you. I won't argue. But you could just as well build an HTML website from scratch. Nevertheless, there are advantages to using a free HTML template. One disadvantage is that free templates require a link back to the designer.
