Twitter's real-time search capability has great appeal to anyone wanting to get the pulse of what people are actually tweeting about. Media entities are taking note; companies are using it to deliver fast customer service responses. But I'm still not using Twitter search for my news and information. When I search for news, I stick with Google (and starting to experiment with Bing).

Two bits of great news for Google's Android mobile computing efforts today, one on the end-user device side and one on the mobile monetization side for programmers and advertisers. First, word leaked of the HTC Hero, a new smartphone running Google's Android OS, as well as a new user environment called HTC Sense. Engadget's Thomas Ricker describes Sense as an environment : that puts at-a-glance info right up front on the home screen where it belongs.

I spent most of yesterday at the OMMA Social conference here in New York with my colleague, Reprise Media Marketing Director Anthony Iaffaldano . We both came away impressed by the consistently interesting panels and the tasty almond crusted chicken for lunch.
