NME.com goes into more detail. Due to fears that emo may contribute to teen depression and suicide,

After seven months since it was announced, Google finally opens its Wikipedia-like web product KNOL to the public. I could understand why it took Google that long to launch Knol, for one it needs to populate the site first with relevant, enticing and interesting articles from its beta authors to make Knol appealing to the public. And so it did. Knol, currently has a slew of "authoritative" articles and the site certainly looks more a live site now.

Wednesday comes this time each week. Today I wish it didn't. It's been a while, so it's probably time for this rumor to be resurrected: Google is rumored to be buying Digg for $200M . As always, we'll believe it when we see it. The Better Business Bureaus Rates Google As "Unsatisfactory." Ooh, I'm sure they're shaking in their boots. The rating has prompted at least one interesting response: Has The Better Business Bureau Outlived Their Usefulness?

You know how d?j? vu is? I'm feeling that today, since it's been seven months since Google Knol was announced , and they're just now getting around to going live . And what we said at the first announcement still looks to be true: "Google Runs Out of Content to Monetize; Wants You to Build More." At NYTimes.com, we don't see any cannibalization from the remnant business. At About.com, we've seen softness in display, mainly due to execution issues, which current investment proposals are attempting to address." -Martin Nisenholtz, SVP, Digital Operations for The New York Times Company,

Old school Mac-addicts know that Apple's logo used to be rainbow colored. At some point during the '90s, Apple ditched the ROYGBIV for a more monochromatic look. Now, in a bit of retro-fueled mania, the house that Jobs built is bringing it back. Maybe. According to UberGizmo , the forthcoming iPod nano will "appear in multiple colors on a single device." The blog also explains that the updated nano will feature more memory, more features, etc. But, really,

Sugar Inc., operator of PopSugar and 14 other sites aimed at women, has nixed its ad sales relationship with NBC Universal and brought those functions in-house. The move comes just a year after Sugar agreed to let NBCU package and sell its inventory alongside that of iVillage. A blog post about the decision gives little indication as to Sugar's precise motives, though it's common for maturing publishers to create a sales team as soon as doing so becomes feasible.

Google went live with Knol , a platform to read and write articles on all kinds of subject. Knol was being tested privately since some time and had been pre-announced back in 2007. The address is knol.google.com, but notably not knol.com or knol.org or even googleknol.com. This project is somewhat reminiscent of Wikipedia, though there are many differences as well.
